Here's what Double Take is doing to help the environment and the community in a
“Fashion Forward” way:
  • We are an Eco-Friendly company, using brown paper bags instead of harmful plastics, and we print as many paper products as possible with environmentally safe SoyInk.
  • Our web hosting is powered 100% by wind energy (FatCow.com)!
  • We even use wooden hangers to limit the use of plastics!
  • We are Fashion Forward, making expensive designer wear affordable.
  • Donations of unsold clothing will help empower women in need.
  • Event Days support chosen non-profit organizations. (Example: Red Day – All Red items sold include a 5% donation made to the Red Cross)
  • Using our reusable bag will give you a 5% discount!
  • We collect cell phones to be refurbished and donated to YWCA for women in need.
  • If you bring in 4 cans of food for our Food Collection, you will receive a 5% discount.

DONATIONS:
To be a service to our community

Receipts for Donations will be made available to those who choose to donate their unsold items to non-profit organizations rather than collecting their items. Non-profit organizations are chosen based upon this criteria: women in need, supply and demand, accessibility and matching their needs with our unsold items.

Organizations we network with:

Samaritan House - A non-profit organization that offers family safety while helping adults and their children regain control of their lives. They provide a range of
services for those who have been victims of domestic violence and homeless families. Samaritan House is more than a temporary safe place to call home; it is a place to begin a new and better life.

YWCA - It is possible to improve the lives in our community. Everyday at the YWCA we see women regain control of their lives, thanks to the generosity of our supporters. With your donation, we can improve our communities and create lasting solutions to the problems of domestic violence, substance abuse, unemployment, and access to quality child care.

Women of Hope - Founded in October 2001, Women of Hope Project is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to restoring hope, dignity and empowerment to Afghan women and children. Our goal is to end hunger and poverty by teaching women and providing opportunities to promote self sufficiency and self-esteem.

“Suited for Success” - Suited For Success provides professional clothing and career development services to low-income women who have completed a job training or job readiness program and are actively seeking employment. We feel that our services empower our clients to successfully obtain and maintain employment thus ensuring their economic independence. Our services are available to our clients at no charge.

"Special Persons Mailing Service" - Employs 34 people with special needs. Art Roy (owner) has been in business since 1991 offering a unique and inspiring service to local businesses throughout Hampton Roads.
